I started shooting way back in high school, when I was one of the editors for the yearbook. My 1st camp I went to was all about shooting...I was 16. I new that it had been a passion from when I was really little playing "model" with my friends and taking images of them as they posed for me...it is fun to look back on that part or my childhood. As my journey started, I began to find out who I truly was as a photographer. I was taught the good ol traditional way, which is a fantastic way to learn about portrait/studio lighting and your actual camera settings....I/we do not shoot in [p] program mode. After learning and studying with some amazing photographers in the industry...I learned the need to follow my heart and not just my head in photography. I started shooting from the heart. It changed everything about imaging. The technical side is still extrememly important, but the capturing of love, at least for me...is top notch as well.
Photography isn't my only love. It is a large part of who I am and my life, however ...there is an even larger part :) I am a mother to two beautiful and amazing gifts from God. They keep me grounded and focused. Constantly challenging me in life as well as photography. They too, are a major driving force behind my creativity and the way I see life behind my lens.
Recently there have been some changes around here! I will now offer my services in Sacremento California and the surrounding areas, as well as Northwest Indiana, Chicago Illinois, and Naples Florida. Stay tuned for more news about that on my website :)
