Hello World! It is beginning to look a lot like Photo Sessions TIME!!

“A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other.” ~Richard Bach~

So I have been MIA but now without good cause.  We had a long hard winter with lots and lots of COLD frigid days and nights....but for the most part it was beautiful!
I am getting my sessions well under way for spring and hope to start shooting in mid to late April when things start to get more {GREEN} and flowers start to emerge for spring!
Keep you posted on all the wonderful people that I will soon be capturing :)
Have a blessed Easter to every one and God Bless!

Being a mom is sweet BLISS

These  little eyes see the world through rose colored glasses.

A typical day out with my sweet grace
means she is *plotting* and scheming on how and what
she is going to {SNEAK}
into her little bag of tricks.

I get these little surprises from my littlest angel.
I never ask, hint, or say a word.
She watches my every move and body language.
Carefully finding the one thing she is going to grab
and surprise me with.

Well this year, I got TWO.

As we made our way to the checkout line...
Where I am all unknowing and THINK we are getting some great deals for her from one of her favorite stores....she has a hidden agenda.
It goes something like this
"Mom, can I please have my {credit card}?"...which is her gift certificate :)
"Now can you please go stand over there and wait for me? I will be ok, I am getting bigger now!"
I am hesitant, but take the wall with some other parents.  After all, she is all of 10 ft in front of me, but not in ear shot which is what she is counting on.
I see her looking over her shoulder...I am wondering what she is up to.
The young man behind the counter takes her *credit card*
She grabs her bag and we are off!

I get to the car, with her sister in tow...
open the door and turn on the HEAT...it is freezing outside.
We start to pull out of the parking spot and she asks
"Mommy, do you wear a small of medium?"
I say, usually a small, but in that store a medium!
"So, do you like blue or white?"
Before I can even answer, she grabs her bag
rips out this top
which has only one shoulder strap (cute, that is the design of the shirt)
and exclaims:

"WELL MOMMY, I GOT THE BLUE FOR YOU WHITE FOR ME AND WE MATCH! I JUST KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO LOVE IT, EVEN THOUGH SISSY SAID NOT TO GET IF FOR YOU.  I WAS TOTALLY THINKING OF YOU AND I AND GOING TO THE BEACH"

Right then and there, I {melted}

She surprises me a few times a year with something that she picks out all by herself.
Sometimes, I am not sure where the ideas come from...but I am always in LOVE with the
precious thoughts and that her heart truly goes into it.
I now know what my mom felt like :)
I now know exactly what she meant when she said:
WAIT
See what your children get for you in life and want you to wear with pride!

It doesn't matter what it is, it means the most to me.
As parents and adults, we sometimes take advantage of the little things in life
and miss the BIG little things that mean the most.

I am constantly following in love with my children.
Constantly being taught by them each and every day.
Always being reminded by them.

Last year, it was a pair of shoes......she bought them with her own money and picked them out by herself, they are still my favorite!

This year, it was this off the shoulder summer top
AND a pair of soft athletic type shorter shorts (which I will use for a cover up if you will for the beach)
She fell in love with the shorts,
knew I was working out
decided I too needed a pair to match hers!

These little miracles that I have been given, are the two things that help me
be driven
capture love
live life to the fullest
and be thankful for all that God has given me!

I am so thankful for the gift he has given me in photography...
and for how he reminds me to see things through a
child's eyes.
To see their point of view.
