{Meet Little B aka Shaggy / Northwest Indiana Children's Photographer} }

Meet Little B aka Shaggy...or Chaggy as he pronounces it
This little dude has the coolest surfer hair this side of CALI :)

he will be : 3 yrs old
his favorite toys are: legos and cars
 favorite hair style: shaggy...that is the way he likes it
favorite meal: hamburger (but it is really a cheeseburger)
if he had a part in the circus it would be:

So Shaggy and I hit the streets of porter county, with his "shot gun" in tow!
His mother and I were silently praying that VPD did not stop us, or that we would give
anyone a heart attack....thinking it may be real!
The gun HAD to come on our venture, it simply was NOT ALLOWED to stay in the car.

So Shaggy, and I worked the alleys of town...in 42* weather,
yes a bit chillier than we had expected!
beach is what we had thought...with some urban scenery as well
beach was out
there was NO way that was going to happen today

Shaggy is uber cool...he works it his way and on his own time...
he told us when he was done, just like any other super star
and his done time was about 15 min after we started.
Good thing his agent aka mom,
didn't mind grabbing up little man and carrying him to next spot quickly!

thanks little man...our little venture was def interesting :)

{little twins}

Little {M} and Little {E} you two were so sweet to capture :)
I felt so blessed watching these two run around, hug, say NO WAY
and show off their own personalities!

{M} would get his picture taken and then run over and grab ahold of my leg and say
"Me see, me see pwease"
...and this went on each and every time!  Man is this kid good!!!  He is only 2!

{E} was shy and would peep around the corner and then want her picture taken here and there after her brother had made sure it was all "safe" and good!
Super CUTE...

I even got big hugs followed by kisses!  They were such little lovies :)

and boy did they like their suckers!

Thanks so much for a wonderful session of making memories.
I will definately remember you two forever!

{H and R}

What a wonderful time I had with little R and little H.
They are such beautiful little souls.
I still can't believe how much little H looks like her mama!
As I edited these images, I found myself giggling many times as I reflected
back on our session together :)

You guys did a fantastic job!
I can't wait to see how much you have grown again next year!!!
Boy was I amazed at how much little R was chatting away.
As always, little H turned on her charm and went right into model pose :)

Thanks so much for a great session!

{little H}

Ahhh, if all the sessions could be this darn easy.
I know that alot of my sessions have silliness and funny faces.
However, this little princess just kept shining like a little star with
all of these smiles and dimples galore.
Now how in the world could I try to change that?!
It was pure bliss capturing little H.
She loved the camera and the camera loved her...

I am pretty sure mom and dad are going to be in big trouble when this one grows up!
I am even thinking that modeling may be in here near future!
Thanks so much little H, you totally rocked!
It was so nice to see you too mom and dad...after all these years and you two haven't changed a bit :)

{One Cute Kid}

Ever feel you are in a presence of a really cute kid?!
Well I have one for you!
He is pretty irresistible isn't he?!

This little smile couldn't of come at a better time for me.
I was having...maybe...one of the worst days of my life.
I had to hold it all together, despite what was going on.
This little guy, made me smile....
Kids have a way of doing that.
They are little glimpses of Heaven, here on earth.
I am so thankful little man C was in front of my lens today!

Thanks little man for putting a smile upon my face :)

{beautiful spring...}

Ah SPRING...
I LOVE all four season, but spring is just so beautiful.
Kids are out playing,
laughter can be heard all around,
 the smell of a great bbq creeps into our homes,
everywhere we look we see beautiful color,
school is almost over,
swimming pools are re-opened ...
can't get much better than this!

Enjoy the above images of H & R...
childhood is so sweet and awesome :)

I am working once again with some ideas for uploading images etc with copyright..
we will see where this goes !

{little punk}

K aka "little punk" was such a delight to work with yesterday afternoon.  :)
Her mommy and her recently took a trip down south and found these darling mismatched socks at a fabulous little store!  I think they are so darn cute!  Why didn't they have things like this when we were kids?!?

Here are a few of my fav from our session together.  As always, thanks so much K for being such a great little model!  You rock, and I love your style!

Back to the session, it was a bit chilly....but she didn't mind.
I have had this 50 mm lens that I have rarely used and spent way to much  money to just let it collect dust in the bottom of my camera bag...
so I pulled out that lens and forced myself to only use that lens during our session.
I found out quite a bit about myself as well as the lens yesterday!
I have often used it at weddings, or my second shooter has used it as a back up...
but I have RARELY used it during a session.
There isn't anything wrong with it, it is a fabulous lens...
but you have to force yourself into another comfort zone using it!

I am so use to my ultimate favs the  70-200  or my 24-70  where I GET TO STAY PUT and zoom...
so being forced to move around my subject constantly to get the right distance was
a nice change for me.  I am slowly falling in love with this one as well....SLOWLY
So I am going to give her (the 50 lens) a second try this Sunday!
I wish her luck :)

{children....sweet bliss}

{little man}

Oh, it has been a whirlwind around here!  I can not even tell you how hard it is too post etc and keep up with everything with the holidays right around the corner and my little one still under the weather :(

But here goes:

As I am waiting in my car with my with my oldest daughter, I see them pull in....he is sitting in the back seat with a grin on his face!  The suv pulls in and stops, the door opens and out jumps this beautiful little man.  He is full of energy, life, and lots of love.  Spunky in his own little way and ready to do things 'his way'......just the way I like little ones to be!  As we move throughout the park, he shows me his tricks, poses his own special way, and fills my heart with joy......
I love the life that children bring to the table, the way they show you how to 'live' and not be so serious!
This little man was on his game and brought his shining personality with him, for me to capture!  I got so tickled editing down his images and looking back through them.....remembering  all his responses and comments :)  Not to mention, his helping with 'pulling' my camera bag all over the park!  Boy did he love those wheels on my camera bag!  I was smitten at his delight of lending a helpful hand or two lol.   After throwing leaves, running through the grass, jumping on things, and munching on some yummy candy......he and his mommy packed up to leave...but not before he jumped up in the drivers seat to 'pretend to drive' while turning the stations on the radio and jerking the wheel back and forth!
Oh, the delightfulness of childhood!
If only we could all remember to see things through the eyes of a child....
just loving life to the fullest....

I learn so much for children each and every moment I get to capture their tiny faces and big personalities!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from our session together!
A big thanks to LITTLE MAN and his MOM.....I truly loved our time together and running around chasing your little angel for some beautiful shots!
God Bless :)

41 degrees out, what troopers!

SO it is too cold for summer, spring, and most fall clothing.......but not yet cold enough for winter bulky jacket!  Sessions are chilly, but still fun!  These three donned jackets, which were tossed aside quickly while getting into place and then running for jackets to keep toasty warm....and then repeat all over again :) I have to admit, I too was pretty chilly!  I donned a down vest and gloves {come on now, I do have to keep my hands warm so that I can keep those fingers working to grab these shots!}  We did wish that we had more color at this particular park, but we worked with what we could find!  These are a few from our time together.........as these three little ladies are very near and dear to my heart and soul!  Love you guys!  You totally rock and thanks for putting up with the chilly weather and keeping a warm smile on your beautiful faces!  Oh, little M......so sorry about the doggie doo doo that you seemed to find!  I too agree with you, someone did not take care of their doggy mess!!!!!  Thankfully, it was a very small detail and nothing to {mess} your attire up!

Little Princess D

Where oh where do I start with little Princess D?!  In one word.....BLESSED!  She is one of the most quiet children that I have ever had the pleasure of photographing......but she is spot on with what we are trying to capture in our images!  Such a little jewel to work with, truly.   You just want to pick her up and squeeze her!  I just can not say enough about this family or this little doll of theirs! Mom and I go way back to grade school times together, so this little princess is an extra special capture for me today!  Great job little Miss D!  I had such a fantastic time with you............until we meet again.....here are a few of my favs!
