{our Holiday card session}

FINALLY we were able to do our Holiday session for our Family Cards this season...

It was a rough one for sure.  I shot it in 13 min flat and in 17* weather!  YIKES it was cold!!
I do not think that I have ever seen my beautiful girls work that fast....really.

3:30 strikes and we are running around  like chickens with their heads cut off!
where is the brush
hand me the hairspray
who has my bows mama
did you get the scarf and mittens
lipgloss?
I got the keys mom, you grab your camera...
wait, did you grab your purse?
Can I borrow your boots mom, mine don't match my outfit!?

and we were off, zooming in and out of streets trying desperately to make it downtown with enough light left in the sky to capture a few images for our card this year.  It was literally a race against time...one we wondered if we would win...but we did.
At last we parked our car...

Do we really have to jump out in this cold mama?!  How long will this take?  A few minutes if we hurry, now hurry please...put on your mittens, your scarf, and put your jacket over your shoulders!
Why don't we just leave our jackets in the car?
Really?!  I just do not think that is a great idea girls, now grab them and lets go!

We start off trucking down through alley ways and weaving in between buildings.  At last we arrive at our destination...drop coats on the near by ground and immediately jump into place to capture some cute holiday images for our cards!  Look smile, hug, put coats back on, walk  to next place and repeat.  DONE.
Now we RUN back to our car which we have started while running with the remote starter :)
Upon jumping into the car, the two little ones both ask to see the camera
they can't wait to see what we captured and neither can I!

Can't believe we did it, honestly!  All while I have bronchitis and am coughing and having trouble breathing in the cold cold cold (did I say cold) air!!!

Sent them in to the lab 2 hours after shooting them!  Sad thing is, we will not get them in until MONDAY :(
I have NEVER EVER been this late in getting my holiday cards shot and sent out EVER!
and now for a small, itty bitty taste of our session together

....after all, I can't give up the surprise of our card!...
oh those silly girls!
and before I get flooded with email.....NO this is not on our card!
Our card is beautiful and sweet I promise!

{bye bye bye}

all  final Holiday orders just went "walking" out the door...the holiday portrait season is FINALLY over!  I did love it so, met some wonderful people and beautiful children this year!
So much fun, I was sad to see it end :(
...but we just finished up in time before it got soooo COLD brrrr....

Now on to ENJOYING my children this holiday season :)
We are so behind, just now getting the Christmas Tree up this weekend!

A HUGE THANK YOU
to all my wonderful clients!
Without your faith, love and support.....we couldn't do what we love to do and what
God has called us to share in with you...
It was a honor creating images for you that will last a lifetime and bring you fondly back to wonderful memories of your family!
I can not express our gratitude enough...
God Bless
Have a Fabulous Holiday!

{Holiday Orders}

HAPPY HOLIDAYS.....

I have finished ordering my LAST holiday card order!  I am stoked!  Originally, I had a plan of having all sessions done by October....that plan changed when #1 my oldest daughter fell ill and #2 I began to be swamped with requests for sessions!  In fact, sadly.....I had to turn a few away this year :(  But thankful for the spring bookings I have gotten in the place of the Holiday Session......so Easter it will be!

At any rate, after waking up yesterday and falling ill myself.....I thought I would NEVER finish punching tiny holes in beautiful Christmas gift tags and cutting satin ribbon to add to all the little pieces of art!  But 3 cups of hot cinnamon apple tea later.....and I was finally finished!

I have bags of these little delights sitting by the door waiting to make their venture out into the world and add pizazz to holiday gift giving this season!  I will be out for deliveries on Monday!  Email me if we haven't set up a time for your delivery on Monday!!!

Also, all the holiday cards will make their very last shipment to my doorstep on Friday!
You last 7 families will be receiving your beautiful holiday cards over next weekend!  I am planning for a Sunday delivery date to your homes!!!

A big thank you to all who made this season magical.....for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you and for inviting me into your beautiful lives!
God Bless and have a Very Merry Christmas!

{Oh, little gentlemen......how I LOVE thee}

I have had the pleasure to capture the spirit of these 3 little gentlemen for the past few years!  There is never a dull moment during our session and it probably is the one session a year that I walk away from thinking......'hmmm, what did I get this time?'
They keep me guessing and wondering and giggling...
always having their own ideas and poses
each one is so unique and one of a kind....seriously
I can't believe how different each one is truly is from the others :)
but I relish in the wonderful memories they create right before my very eyes....
not to mention the humor I get to participate in for 30 min to an hour!
Boys will be boys....
More from this session later......fun, tackling was involved!
thanks for such a wonderful, eventful afternoon gentlemen!

{little man}

Oh, it has been a whirlwind around here!  I can not even tell you how hard it is too post etc and keep up with everything with the holidays right around the corner and my little one still under the weather :(

But here goes:

As I am waiting in my car with my with my oldest daughter, I see them pull in....he is sitting in the back seat with a grin on his face!  The suv pulls in and stops, the door opens and out jumps this beautiful little man.  He is full of energy, life, and lots of love.  Spunky in his own little way and ready to do things 'his way'......just the way I like little ones to be!  As we move throughout the park, he shows me his tricks, poses his own special way, and fills my heart with joy......
I love the life that children bring to the table, the way they show you how to 'live' and not be so serious!
This little man was on his game and brought his shining personality with him, for me to capture!  I got so tickled editing down his images and looking back through them.....remembering  all his responses and comments :)  Not to mention, his helping with 'pulling' my camera bag all over the park!  Boy did he love those wheels on my camera bag!  I was smitten at his delight of lending a helpful hand or two lol.   After throwing leaves, running through the grass, jumping on things, and munching on some yummy candy......he and his mommy packed up to leave...but not before he jumped up in the drivers seat to 'pretend to drive' while turning the stations on the radio and jerking the wheel back and forth!
Oh, the delightfulness of childhood!
If only we could all remember to see things through the eyes of a child....
just loving life to the fullest....

I learn so much for children each and every moment I get to capture their tiny faces and big personalities!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from our session together!
A big thanks to LITTLE MAN and his MOM.....I truly loved our time together and running around chasing your little angel for some beautiful shots!
God Bless :)

{thankfulness}

Very thankful this year for having two very loving grandparents host the THANKSGIVING meal once again at their home!  I can not hardly believe all they do.......you would never believe they are in their 80's.  I hope, and pray that I look that good at 80!  Not to mention, have that little beat in my step....that they both seem to have as well.  Ah, the holidays are so very magical spending with family and friends!
Hope everyone had a fantastic time this Thanksgiving!
God Bless, Loveographer xo

{It's beginning to look alot like that time a year again ....}

The yellow bus came rolling up the street, the doors opened and out popped this beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed delightful sight....tagging behind her were two little cuties themselves.  I could hear off in the distance her giggling and laughing....
She started skipping down the winding sidewalk, wavy hair blowing in the wind....
gently looking over her shoulder at her two bus mates
eyes glistening in the sun.
As she approached her home, she slowed down her skip...
and there it was, an abrupt stop
followed by a very anxious but serious......
"Mom, did you know Santa will be here in 38 days?"

This is where I smile, but panic all in one!
38 days......are you kidding me?!?!

I will be adding my 12 favorite things for Christmas this year!

and at some point we will play a little game together.....but not yet!
Stay alert, you never know when I will post something fun :)

But to start off my wish list.......

that's right folks, this is one of my top I want it, I need it, I gotta have it gifts :)
How wonderful to have a special cup of gourmet coffee, tea, or hot cocoa brewed to perfection in your very own kitchen while you anxiously await in your jammies!

I am going to give you a little heads up on this little beauty
* Wal-mart is the cheapest for the regular edition......not the individual one, but regular at $99

* Bed Bath & Beyond has the Special Edition for $129...however, if you use a 20% off
coupon you get it for $104!

That is a steal!  The SPECIAL EDITION is quieter, programable, etc
So it is seriously the best deal out there once you grab your coupon :)
A little birdie told me of this (thanks Becky!)

Anyway, you can even get GLORIA JEANS specialty coffee in pods for this beauty!
Gourmet Chai Tea....yummo!

I sure HoPe, WiSh, and PrAy that I get this one from Santa :)

{Why Custom Photography}

Why Custom Photography?

There are literally thousands of photographers right here in my town.....so how or why do you choose?

Well first and foremost you hire a Professional Photographer because they can offer you something that you can not get on your own.  Every soccer mom has a camera and can take great snap shots!  SO many photographers call themselves PROFESSIONAL just because they are member of PPA or WPPI....news flash   ANYONE can pay to be a member......yes it is a couple hundred dollars, but you can do it.  They do not come and check us out to make sure that we are who we say we are!
So pay attention when you are hiring someone!  Are you just seeing their best images or a collection of all?  Ask to see a complete session.......anyone can shoot 100 images a get 10 that are pretty good.  Are their images strong BEORE artistic render.....or does the artistic render make the image?  What kind of education have they had?  Were they self taught?  or did they learn hands on under an educator?  You do not have to go to college to be a photographer, but you do need to be getting education on a regular basis.......that is what your clients are paying for!  You are paying for the added touches, that you can not add yourself.  You are paying for You have to remember that a great photographer can take a great image with almost any camera.  It is not the best camera in the world that takes the best images.....but the man or woman behind the camera with the knowledge of capture!

{In the name of Love}

They arrived at a county park looking as in {love} as ever!  She was beautiful and shining like a star and he was smitten and handsome.  After  sharing a few gentle kisses and gazes, she grabbed her white jacket and uber cute boots and off we went.  They walked hand in hand awaiting the moment when we would start capturing their LOVE...a few tender moments between the two they would soon share.
He laughed, she smiled wildly back at him.  They kissed passionately, as their souls obviously danced together..  their love true and strong...she melted right into his loving arms!
How wonderful love is, when it is with the right person :) How beautiful life is when you get to share it with someone who is deeply, madly, in love with you...

Every once in a great while, I meet two people that are completely in love.
The kind of love that we see in our grandparents.
That kind of love that makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.
The kind that inspires you and and fills you with hope and LOVE.

My grandparents have been married for 61 years, and it is a love that is beautiful, magical, wonderful.....a love that we all wish, want, and need!
Well I am so happy, even proud to say that these two reminded me of that kinda LOVE!
It is a once in a lifetime LOVE....

The image shown is styled in our artistic VINTAGE LOVE.
They are designed to be 11x14 or larger canvas wraps!
Each image has added texture, artistic brushes and meaningful phrases.

{LIFE+LOVE}

"Write on your heart that the ones you love are life's most precious gifts!"

I come to you with a heavy heart....
Recently I have come across some pretty sad stories that are lying heavy on my heart. :(
As most of you know, I lost my grandfather St. Patrick's Day this year.
He was a very loving, God fearing, gentleman.
I have learned so much from him over the years, and even through his passing.

If there is one thing that I have learned....it is to live today as it was your last.
Do not have regrets and love completely.

Life is so precious and it truly can be gone in a blink of an eye!

A very close friend of mine,  recently lost a very dear friend.
There are so many specifics, but I will not get into it here.
The total point of this post is LOVE and
LIVE life to the fullest
FORGIVE one another and Laugh often.

For people, we do not know if we will have another day, another moment, another time.

Is it really worth the fight?
The stress?
The hurt and pain?
Let it go, and love one another!

Life is simply too short...choose your battles wisely...you may not get another shot!

Go hug that special someone, tell them how much you love them and how important they truly are in your life.   Take a moment to listen quietly to what is going on around you.
Be there when people need you.
Hold on a little longer, love a little deeper, kiss softly, and believe with all your heart!

God Bless
Loveographer

*GIVING IS AWESOME*

{Believe & Trust}

For people to trust & believe in you,
you first have to trust & believe in yourself!

I can't come up with a better saying for today, that rings so true to my feelings...

{TRUST & BELIEVE}

All things are possible when you trust with in your heart and believe in yourself.....
spread your wings and fly
reach out and touch the sky
for the limits are only what you put upon yourself...

{be your own kind of BEAUTIFUL}

...a phrase that struck me with the truth....
"be your own kind of beautiful"
Those six words speak volumes...
In a world where it seems that so many can be selfish and hurtful, it is so important to remember that each and everyone of us is so beautiful and special in our own unique way.
Everyone has a story
Everyone has a place
Everyone is full of life
Everyone needs to be loved for who they are...

*I have seen so many BEAUTIFUL people lately*

I am bursting at the seams to post images.....yet I can't...
I know, I know, how fair is that you ask?!
Well so many of my clients are like me!~
THEY want to surprise their loved ones with beautiful imagery as Christmas
presents this year....sooooo that means I CAN'T POST any of my favs!!!
It is killing me :)
But I can totally relate and respect their wishes!

SO I am going to post some of my FAVORITE things for the season..inspiration for gift
giving etc...
LATER, I will post some beautiful images!

My grandfather always said the prayer phrase, so that one brought back a flood of memories to me!

{Gratitude}

November is a peaceful, pretty time of year. The lush greenery of summer has faded to muted shades of nature, and clouds hover above us and speak of the coming winter—not a warning  so much as a word of advice from a trusted friend. The seasons are changing, and the pace of  life moves to a different rhythm.
We’re entering into the holiday season and are preparing to celebrate Thanksgiving. This time  of year summons up many warm memories of gathering around the family table (or being  sequestered to the kids’ table) enjoying a special meal surrounded by family and friends.  Thanksgiving is a lovely holiday. It’s marvelous to have a day set apart to be grateful for all  we enjoy. My good fortune overwhelms me with gratitude, and I want you to know that you are
included in my list of blessings. Your friendship and patronage has warmed my heart. I love  to see my clients’ smiles and hear the laughter of a family posing for a portrait that will be  cherished for decades. Touching the lives of friends and neighbors with my portraiture is my  dream come true.
I hope your Thanksgiving season is filled with love, sweet moments shared with someone  special, gratitude, and laughter. I hope you make memories to cherish forever.  Have a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving and a holiday season filled with goodness and joy.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. I look forward to serving you in the coming year.

{Sickness.....blahhhhh}

We have had beautiful weather, the leaves are dancing in a colorful river of reds, orange, and yellow, wait purple too!  Yes, we have finally got somewhat of a fall :)  My camera is ready, I am excited to shoot and then bam......out of the blue my daughter comes down with pneumonia!  Yep, you read that right PNEUMONIA!  That is how I feel, I want to scream!  We have all been there right?!  Well, we just got thru the swine flu.....rescheduled appointments and started shooting again.  No more than 4 days later, here we sit with a bad case of pneumonia!

I do not feel sorry for myself...but terrible inside for my daughter!  She is miserable!  So now we get to do breathing treatments, meds, motrin, tylenol, and enough orange gatorade to float a small boat!  It is scary stuff, but grateful for all the prayers........and the cuddling time I get to have with my little girl on the couch!  Wishing it were a different reason for cuddling, but I will take it!  Not to mention lots and lots of cartoons and we are even currently watching HOME ALONE......hmm just feels like that time of the year :)

So thanks for all your patience as we weather through scheduling appointments together and getting everyone's Holiday Sessions taken care of!

I am sorry to hear of the handful of clients that had to cancel due to their little ones getting sick...ugh!  You all will be in our prayers as well!

So folks, I am back to.........
*cuddling with the little one
*drinking hot apple cinnamon tea
*taking temperatures
*moving thru our dvd collection
*trying to finish editing images
*finishing up Christmas orders
* oh and yes trying to get some much needed SHUT EYE :)
Hugs and prayers to you and yours !

{Gift Tags are Here}

They have arrived......just last night!  I was up way past 12 punching holes and adding satin ribbon!  There are 4 different types of art portrait paper to choose from and 3 background designs!  They are so delicious I hate to see them march out my door!  I certainly can not wait to use mine this year!  Can't wait to see the faces of the proud owners of these little babies.....they were certainly more beautiful than we expected....and our expectations were HIGH!

{artistic rendered image}

{vintage image with texture}

Image 101

You can see the transition of this image as it takes on a completely different look and feel :)  By looking at an image and studying the subject, we carefully decide what artistic spin we would like to put on it.  Here is just a small view, to educate you in the many different ways an image is stylized after capture!  Some clients like a specific look, so we do take that in to consideration.....however, mostly we just know in our heart where the image is going and what it is becoming.  Each session is unique and personal in its own way, because other than twins......we are not alike as people!

{Children}

They are so magical......it is like their tiny souls dance around in delight and you can grab a conveyed emotion right away!  Each one brings personality and style to aid in the artistically rendered process.  They are simply delightful to work with, even if they are not EASY :)  These little ones speak straight to the heart, so easy to read and so open and angelic!

I am having a serious issue with {tutu LOVE} right now!

20091022

{Excitement}

My Holiday Tags will arrive tomorrow!!! I can not wait to show you them, as in taking a picture and posting these lil babies :)   I checked on them a few minutes ago......sure enough they will be delivered handsomely packaged at my door!

It is like opening a present....I kid you not!  I get so excited seeing my clients images grace my doorway....add a new line of product......and I go coocoo for cocoa puffs!

Now get off the computer people and get outside and enjoy God's splendor today!

* take a brisk walk
* stand still close your eyes and breathe in Fall
* look around at the "painted" picture God has given us
* go leave picking with your children
* bring those leaves in and do some fun crafts
* play EYE SPY
* enjoy a warm cup of APPLE CIDER
* take the kids to the park
* carve a pumpkin with your lil punkin
* add candy corn to a cup of peanuts for a "payday"

{Holiday Tags}

How adorable are my Holiday Gift Tags?!  These cute little babies come in Qty of 50 and are approx business card size complete with two sides to them!  These little babies will make your holiday gift giving extra special and unique!  You know how us women are always looking for a new idea to add that special little touch.......well here it is!  I was so excited about these little darlings, that I already ordered a set for myself!  Anyone that knows me, knows I am always late on the Holiday extras!  Fumbling through the stores trying to come up with some kind of idea that can be purchased from the local Michaels!  Last year, I sat for hours tracing, cutting, and pasting images to card stock and finishing them off with a ribbon!  Don't get me wrong, those were delightful.....but very, very time consuming!  This year, when I ran across this little idea....I just had to have them!

 Hurry Don't delay Order these Today!

{Holiday Cards}

It is that time of the year, once again!

All orders must be placed for holiday portrait cards by Oct. 31st 2009!  If you have already had your session with us, now is the time to choose from the following designs and get your order in asap :)

Something new to me.....in the eyes of a pano!

I should not really call it new, because it isn't....um maybe revisited?!  The pano has been around FOREVER.....but as artists we bob and weave back and forth trying to "revisit" old ideas and put a new spin on them if you will!

I am not even sure what got in my head to try some pano images again!  My most recent session was with a larger family and I was like "hey, remember the pano format....that would be neat to go back and do again"  I fall in and out of {Love} with many different areas and ideas in photography...but this past week I have had some time on my hands to edit thru some images while my little sick one was resting and I kept going back to a pano crop, over and over and over again!  I do not know what is up with me but it is just something stirring inside me!  So now I have this compulsion to look at the image and wonder, "what would it look like pano?"  I guess I am getting tired of the traditional 8x10, 11 x14, and 16x20 format!

Inspiration no doubt came from this beautiful large black frame I have stuffed behind my couch (ok, honestly this is not at good idea!)  waiting for a pano of me and my kiddos from this fall!  Every image I see.......I think hmmm pano!  I can't wait for my little one to get well so we can grab our gear and head for some fall foliage and take some shots of us making memories together!

You never ever know what is going to happen with little ones under the age of 4....it is just and impossibility to even imagine how the session will go!  I have some great "out takes" that I will have to post at another time, but for now...here are a few from our session together!  I have sooo many more to edit thru and design Miss Becky, but I promise I will get to them STAT :)

Your kids are absolutely beautiful and it was a true pleasure to work with you and your wonderful family!  I can't wait to show you the rest of them...but for now it is back to taking care of my little angel that is a bit broken still :(

I want to SCREAM!

So we have spent some time in a local  OFF HOUR CLINIC .......it was not fun!  We had the unfortunate time of sitting and waiting for over 5 hrs to get seen for  104 temp!  I know you would think that it may be a priority to check her, but um not so much I suppose for them!  I have to state, as a parent I was pretty outraged at how long it did take.  We waited from 1 to 4:30 before we were even called to be registered!  My poor little ones, seem to always get sick over the weekend when the doc has gone home.....we usually weather thru the weekend and hit doc on Monday!  However, this time it was a no go.  The all so fashionable mask she dons was given to us upon her coughing.....she was  a pretty good trooper for the most part......though around 6 she had had it {I can't say I blame her!}  To top of our wonderful Sunday afternoon, we got released too late to go to our local Wally World to pic up our prescription of good ol Tamiflu so, we had to run to CVS......and guess what, they too did not have what we needed!  So we FINALLY got med today at 11 thanks to a very sweet Aunt M, who ran and grabbed it despite her facial issues due to having her teeth worked on~

So the humor or maybe not so much was the fact that little M retorted " I feel like I am in China mommy" after being asked to wear the mask.  Now we do not mean to disrespect those from China in anyway, but her reference was from watching the news and seeing hundreds of Chinamen in mask.  She did start to giggle as she did when she saw them on t.v.  as the day went on her giggling did turn to tears :( .  When we left she states she hopes to NEVER have to wear it again!

Thanks Auntie M.  We love you so!

We are running a tad behind on some session images due to our recent um....illness.  We hope to be right back to schedule by next Monday!  Have a healthy and happy week :)

Please be patient as our main goal is getting this little angel feeling well once again!  Thanks for all the well wishes we have been sent!  {hugs}
